THE ‘PEGGY BROOKS’ PROJECT
The Peggy Brooks Project is a community-driven initiative dedicated to restoring safe, dignified housing for Mrs. Peggy Brooks. For nearly four decades, Peggy lived in a small trailer on her family property that had additional rooms and structures added over the years in an effort to create more living space. However, these additions were not built to code and, over time, the structure became increasingly unsafe. With a failing roof, no reliable running water, no heating or air conditioning, pest issues, and significant structural concerns, the home was no longer a safe place for Peggy to live.
Led by Kendrick Daly, founder of Naima Ventures, and documented and amplified by Yolanda Beck, founder of etc™ Creative Agency, The Peggy Brooks Project is being thoughtfully captured every step of the way. Through brand development, storytelling, social media strategy, photography, interviews, media outreach, and creative marketing, etc™ Creative Agency is helping share Peggy's journey with the community and beyond—connecting this mission with the volunteers, sponsors, and supporters needed to bring this vision to life.
This project will replace Peggy's aging home with a brand-new one built on the land she has called home since 1986. More than a construction project, The Peggy Brooks Project is a testament to the power of compassion, collaboration, and community— proving that when people come together, they can restore not only a home, but also dignity, security, and hope for the future. MEET PEGGY.
Mrs. Peggy Brooks is a woman whose life has been defined by service, resilience, and unwavering strength. A retired educator, proud Navy wife, and lifelong member of the Trappe, Maryland community, Peggy has dedicated decades to investing in others with quiet compassion. She represents a generation that worked hard, gave generously, and asked for little in return.
Her story is one of perseverance, faith, and grace— a reminder that behind every familiar face is a lifetime of experiences, sacrifices, and a legacy worthy of being honored.

THE TRAILER.
This is the trailer that Mrs. Peggy Brooks called home for nearly four decades.
Since 1986, this small trailer on her family property in Trappe, Maryland has held decades of memories. Despite the challenges, Peggy continued to call this place home until someone in the community learned about her situation and knew there had to be a way to help. Peggy had previously won a contest with a roofing company to receive assistance with her roof, but after visiting the property and assessing the structure, they determined that the home was too unsafe to simply add a new roof. The issue was much greater than a repair— it required a complete solution. Then, everything changed.
MEET KENDRICK.
When local developer Kendrick Daly, founder of Naima Ventures, learned about Peggy's living conditions, he knew something had to be done. After visiting her trailer he offered Peggy a rent-free apartment at Daly Gardens in Easton, where she has been able to live safely while a much bigger vision takes shape.
Today, that vision is becoming reality.
The Peggy Brooks Project is a community-led effort to demolish Peggy's deteriorating home and build a brand-new house on the very land she has loved since 1986. Architectural plans have been completed, demolition is soon underway, and building materials have been identified. Now, the project needs the support of volunteers, skilled trades, businesses, sponsors, donors, and neighbors who believe that everyone deserves a safe place to call home.

The vision for Peggy's Place is no longer just a dream—it is becoming reality. The blueprints are complete, the plans are in place, and materials have already been sourced to begin bringing this beautiful new home to life.
Designed with comfort and safety in mind, Peggy's new home will be a place where she can truly feel at peace. Featuring beautiful blue siding, a welcoming front porch, and a thoughtful layout created for everyday living, Peggy's Place will provide her with the comfort and security she deserves.
Peggy’s Place represents a fresh start. A place to create new memories. A reminder that after decades of perseverance, Peggy's next chapter can be filled with joy, comfort, and the feeling of truly being home.
